My first time cooking chicken?

this is my first time cooking chicken. last night i took it out of the freezer and stuck it in the fridge to thaw..it's been in there all day and i was going to make it tonight, but go caught up and was busy all day. is it still okay to cook it even though its been in the fridge all day?? thanks!
