I really need a girl's perspective?

Go for it . Im Not a girls perspective , but im telling you she likes you more than a best friend . She just worries that something will happen and you guys will never talk to each other again . If i were you i would (in person) Tell her the way you feel about her and be honest . I did that with my wife back when i thought she liked me but i thought she didn't want to be with me (kind of like your situation) and look now im married to her and have the most beautiful daughter in the world . I was your age when i asked her to be my girlfriend .Just go for it . If thats what feels right deep down then don't resist .
