Should we do away with black history month in America?

To me it seems that if there is going to be a black history month there should also be an asian history month and a native american history month and a jewish history month etc. But aside from that doesn't having a black history month segregate black history from the rest of American history? Is black history not part of American history, should it not be amalgamated into the rest of the history cles and just be called history? I understand that whoever came up with the idea was presumably trying to be inclusive but in this day and age it almost seems offensive and regressive.
